About Monique Layton
Monique Layton graduated in comparative literature (MA.) and cultural anthropology (PhD.) from the University of British Columbia. After spending years in Morocco, France, and Great Britain, she settled in Vancouver, where she now lives. A former quilter and miniature maker, she applies to her writing the same crafting principles of picking interesting bits and pieces and attempting to make coherent wholes out of them. With five children, eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, she considers herself a matriarch, but acknowledges she does not possess the wisdom that should go with the title. |
